UPCOMING EVENTS

Greetings,

If this is your first time visiting Harvest Arts, you may be wondering who we are and what attending one of our events would be like. First off, thank you for visiting our small corner of the internet! Harvest Arts has a clear mission: to provide beautiful artistic works and experiences for the increased flourishing of our community for the glory of God.

Recently I heard one concert-goer describe Harvest Arts events as “boutique concerts.” I could not have been more thrilled to hear an audience member describe their experience in this way! Our events truly are boutique concerts: they feature classical music and visual art, and (unlike most classical music concerts) the musicians engage with the audience on a personal level, both from the stage and one-on-one visiting before, during, and after the show. Through the beauty of art, fellowship, and personal connection, I have seen God minister to the hearts and souls of both the attendees and the musicians. Would you join us at an upcoming concert?

This September marks two years of sharing concerts with our community, and we are ready to celebrate. We think there is no better way to musically pop the cork than to put on our biggest concert yet! We present to you “Mozart and Friends”, our first-ever QUINTET concert. This show will feature, among many other wonderful works, the beloved Mozart Concerto for Flute and Harp. Hannah and I met each other performing this piece, so we are thrilled to bring it to the stage again. Joining us are 3 other incredible artists, Tony Parce, Grace Parce, and Hannah Tyler.

Whether you are an avid classical music fan or this is your first foray into the musical genre, this is sure to be an enjoyable experience.  Join us in a city near you! See below our tour schedule, ticket links, and the bios of the musicians.

Anthony Parce has distinguished himself in exploring the versatility and relevance of today’s classical music world. He enjoys bringing his energy and ideas to the Nashville Symphony, having joined in 2019.  In addition to the symphony’s diverse performances, community engagement, and accelerando program, Mr. Parce is also a sought after recording session artist and member of many new music organizations. Mr. Parce was one of 4 inaugural Community Embedded Musicians with the Houston Symphony, where he taught extensively in area schools from pre-k through college, did therapeutic and palliative work in healthcare settings, organized diverse concerts in community and social centers, and curated several salon-style patron engagement experiences.  Parce has recently served as guest principal violist of the Amarillo Symphony and Ashlawn opera, played with the San Francisco, Houston, and North Carolina Symphonies, and performed John Cage’s Water Walk for solo performer and bath tub for the GRAMMYs Salute to Musical Legends. During his fellowship at the New World Symphony, Parce organized and produced innovative concert formats, lectured and performed on the early works and life of Arnold Schoenberg, produced a commemoration of Kristallnacht with testimony by Holocaust survivors, travelled many times to Medellín, Colombia, to teach through the SaludArte Foundation, and helped curate the virtual library (Musiaic). In addition to being a regular principal at NWS, Parce performed chamber music with Christian Tetzlaff, Jessye Norman, and Anne Marie McDermott. Parce has attended the Verbier, Schleswig-Holstein, Tanglewood, Artosphere, and Britten-Piers summer festivals, as well as the National Orchestral Institute, Domaine Forget and the Music Academy of the West. He holds degrees from the New England Conservatory and Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music, studying with James Dunham, Roger Tapping and Karen Ritscher. Parce is a native of Seattle.

Grace is a dedicated cellist and teacher, driven by a desire to share the beauty, creativity, and collaborative energy that have become her hallmarks.  Although Grace has worked largely as an orchestral musician, she is constantly looking for ways to diversify her performance opportunities. For the 2021/2022 season Grace performed for the national Broadway revival tour of Oklahoma! She also frequents the recording studios in Nashville, recording with Nashville Music Scoring for companies such as Netflix, Sony, Bungee, and Hulu. Since completing her Master’s degree in 2017, Grace performs regularly with many ensembles throughout the United States including the Nashville Symphony, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Alabama Symphony, and the Louisville Orchestra. Grace has also recently performed with orchestral festivals such as the Brevard Music Center, the Chautauqua Institute, the National Orchestral Institute, and Festival Napa Valley.

Grace is a Suzuki Certified cello teacher. In 2018, she headed a project to develop a Suzuki Cello Program at the Northern Kentucky School of Music. Grace has also taught cello as a visiting faculty member at Miami University, and privately in many music academies and school districts throughout Cincinnati and Nashville.

In 2020, Grace and her husband, Anthony Parce, a violist with the Nashville Symphony, founded a chamber ensemble, the Juniper Duo. They recently recorded a video album together, featuring new transcriptions of classic favorites, works by emerging composers, and even an original composition.

Grace completed her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in Cello Performance at Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music. There, she studied with Ilya Finkelshtyen, principal cellist of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. She currently plays a Caressa and
Francais cello, made in 1912.
